Prep hoops: Friday, January 26 top moments and performances

• HALEY SWING, HOMESTEAD GIRLS

She posted a double-double of 14 points and a game high 12 rebounds in a 67-64 win over Northrop to clinch Homestead’s third straight SAC title. The team is now 27-0 in conference during regular season games in their history in the league.

• HOMESTEAD GIRLS

Balanced scoring led the Spartans in securing a SAC title with the win over Northrop. Sylare Starks led the way with 22 points, followed by 14 from Haley Swing and 12 points each from Kara Gealy and Sydney Graber.

• BREANNA DOUGLAS, NORTHROP GIRLS

She scored 22 points, had eight rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals in the loss to Homestead.

• NIOMI DUBE, NORTHROP GIRLS

Dube scored 21 points, hitting five three pointers, in the loss to Homestead.

• TANIECE CHAPMAN, SOUTH SIDE GIRLS

She had 11 points, a game high 13 rebounds and three steals as South Side beat Bishop Dwenger 60-55.

• SHAMARI TYSON, SOUTH SIDE GIRLS

Tyson scored 11 points and had six assists in the win over Bishop Dwenger.

• SHAMARI JACKSON, SOUTH SIDE GIRLS

She led all Archers in scoring with 14 points, hitting four three pointers in the win over Bishop Dwenger.

• CAITLYN RYAN AND MOLLY REAM, BISHOP DWENGER GIRLS

The pair had game highs with Ryan’s points (17) and Ream’s assists (9) in the loss to South Side.

• EMILY PARRETT, CARROLL GIRLS

The freshman scored a game high 14 points, leading 11 different Chargers scorers in a 84-36 win over Snider.

• KATHRYN KNAPKE, BISHOP LUERS GIRLS

The senior surpassed 900 points for her career, scoring 16 points and adding 12 rebounds in a 82-29 win over Wayne.

• MYA JACKSON, WAYNE GIRLS

She scored all of her game high 18 points in the second and third quarters in the loss to Bishop Luers.

• CARISSA GARCIA, CONCORDIA GIRLS

She scored 23 points at the Cadets just gave up one second half field goal in the 48-22 win over North Side.

• JENEAN SCHWARTZ, FAIRFIELD GIRLS

She scored 17 points and have five steals in a 56-39 win over West Noble that clinched Fairfield at least a share of the NECC title.

• LAUREN BURNS, WEST NOBLE GIRLS

Scored 14 points in the loss to Fairfield.

• CARLY MABIE AND OLIVIA SHEARER, COLUMBIA CITY GIRLS

They hit seven combined three pointers (Mabie 3, Shearer 4) and led the Eagles in scoring (Mabie 13, Shearer 12) in a 56-29 win over New Haven.

• LOGAN ROWLES, NORWELL GIRLS

She led the Knights with 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists in a 79-20 win over East Noble that clinched Norwell an outright Northeast 8 Conference title.

• LAUREN BALES, NORWELL GIRLS

The fresman tallied seven points and seven steals in the win over East Noble.

• LEIGHA BROWN, DEKALB GIRLS

The senior had her second triple-double of the season with 39 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a 74-68 win over Huntington North.

• HOLLYN ANDERSON AND MADALYN ROBROCK, HUNTINGTON NORTH GIRLS

They each scored 15 points in the loss to DeKalb.

• MELEAH LEATHERMAN, CENTRAL NOBLE GIRLS

She scored 24 points to lead the Cougars to a 66-20 win over Churubusco.

• GRACE HUNTER, BELLMONT GIRLS

She scored 20 points in a 55-39 win over Leo.

• SOPHIA PIERCE, LEO GIRLS

She scored 17 points in the loss to Bellmont.

• LUCAS LEHRMAN, BISHOP DWENGER BOYS

Lehrman scored a game high 15 points and had 10 reounds in a 47-43 win over South Side.

• ASHER BLUM, SOUTH SIDE BOYS

Blum scored a team high 13 points and had seven rebounds in the loss to Bishop Dwenger.

• AUSTIN JORDAN, SOUTH SIDE BOYS

The freshman had his best career game, hitting 4-of-5 shots to score 10 points. He added two assists and two steals in the loss to Bishop Dwenger.

• DAN MCKEEMAN, CARROLL BOYS

He scored a game high 19 points, going 8-of-11 from the field and also had a pair of steals in the 55-46 win over Snider.

• DILLON DUFF, SNIDER BOYS

Duff scored 18 points and had 15 rebounds in the loss to Carroll.

• KEION BROOKS JR., NORTH SIDE BOYS

He shot 7-of-10 from the field for a game high 19 points, added 11 rebounds and six blocks in a 77-47 win over Concordia Lutheran.

• NORTH SIDE BOYS

The team had balanced scoring in the win over Concordia. Following Brooks’ 19 points, Austin Boucher had 17, Lucas Kroft and Alijah Long each scored 10, Brandan Johnson had 9 points and Nate Carbaugh added 8.

• BRAYDON PEARSON, CONCORDIA BOYS

He scored a team high 14 points in the loss to North Side.

• GRANT RABER, HOMESTEAD BOYS

Raber led the Spartans in scoring for the second straight Friday night in a 63-58 win over Northrop. Raber went 11-of-11 from the foul line.

• SAM BUCK, HOMESTEAD BOYS

Buck joined Raber at being perfect from the line. He was 10-of-10 and the team was 21-of-21 as Buck scored 18 points in the win over Northrop.

• QUALEN PETTUS, NORTHROP BOYS

He scored 22 points, including 12 in the third quarter for the Bruins in the loss to Homestead.

• ABRAM BEARD, HERITAGE BOYS

He scored a team high 18 points in a two overtime, 49-39 win over Adams Central.

• KEVIN BROWN, ADAMS CENTRAL BOYS

He scored 18 points in the double overtime loss to Heritage.

• LUKE STEPHENS, FAIRFIELD BOYS

He scored a game high 32 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field in a 71-49 win over West Noble.

A balanced scoring front saw Trevor Franklin score 16, Mason Stover put up 12 points and Nick Knepper add 11 in the loss to Fairfield.

He scored 22 points and had nine rebounds in a 56-49 win over Churubusco.

He scored a game high 23 points, shooting 8-of-13 from the field and had six rebounds in the loss to Central Noble.

He had 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the loss to Central Noble.
