Fort Wayne’s Reggie Hearn hits three in Detroit Pistons debut
Fort Wayne’s Reggie Hearn finally reached the NBA, and drained a memorable three-point shot.
Hearn was signed by the Detroit Pistons recently to a two-way contract that allows the team to move him between the Pistons and the G League’s Grand Rapids Drive. In his first NBA game appearance, he hit a three-pointer late in the Pistons’ 111-91 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday at Little Caesars Arena.
Hearn, a Snider High School and Northwestern University alum, hit his only shot with 2:10 left in the game. He left the court after the game with the game ball, courtesy of newly acquired Pistons starter Blake Griffin.
Hearn, 26, is averaging 14.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game with the Drive.
