Purdue University football coach Jeff Brohm lands California quarterback target Paul Piferi
Purdue University football coach Jeff Brohm has landed a quarterback target for 2019.
Paul Piferi, a 6-foot-5, 210-pound pro-style quarterback from Villa Park, Calif., announced Monday on Twitter he has chosen the Boilermakers.
“The coaches being ex-NFL coaches played a big role in my decision,” Piferi told 247Sports.com. “They really know how to develop quarterbacks and have had a lot of success in that area. There’s a cradle of quarterbacks they have developed and I’m excited to play for them. I had a great official visit as well and it just felt like home to me. I can’t say it any more simply, Purdue felt like home for me and I’m thrilled to be a Boilermaker.”
Piferi took an unofficial visit to Purdue earlier this year and had narrowed his choices to Purdue or Oregon State. He is a multisport athlete at Villa Park and is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports.com and Rivals.com.
So excited to announce that I will continue my education and football at Purdue University! Thank you to the coaches from all of the colleges that recruited me through this process. ???? ???? #boilerup #hammerdown #brohmsquad #purduefootball pic.twitter.com/HMJwExYBK4
