A poor second quarter led to a big loss for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Sunday at Memorial Coliseum. The Ants lost 110-88 to the Austin Spurs, after being outscored by 17 points (39-22) in the second quarter in front of an announced crowd of 3,420 people. The loss dropped Fort Wayne to 26-19 and kept the Mad Ants from moving forward in their quest for a playoff berth. The Mad Ants play Greensboro at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the coliseum.

The Mad Ants were led by Trey McKinney Jones with 16 points. Tyler Hansbrough scored 13 points with a team-high eight rebounds. Travis Leslie and Marquis Teague led the team with five assists apiece.

Leslie scored 11 points and Alex Poythress and Jordan Loyd scored 10 apiece.

Austin (21-23) was led by Livio Jean-Charles and Orlando Johnson with 17 points apiece. Daniel Nwaelele scored 16 points, Hollis Thompson 15 and Charles Garcia 14.
