Tailing the Komets: More roster moves
After getting through a four-game road trip, the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners have gotten caught up on their commitment to the Komets by sending defenseman Jalen Smereck to Fort Wayne. The rookie stands 6-1, 195 pounds and played one game for Tucson this season with no points.
He played with the Flint Firebirds in the OHL last year with 60 games, 9 goals, 45 points and 62 penalty minutes. He played two games with Tucson last year, scoring a goal and two points.
The Komets have also officially placed Justin Hodgman and Gabriel Desjardins on the 21-day injured reserve list. They are both back-dated to Oct. 22 since they played Oct. 21 against Kansas City.
