Tailing the Komets: Trade made with Jacksonville
Ahead of Thursday’s school-day game in Toledo, the Komets have made a deal with the Jacksonville IceMen. In return for cash, the Komets have sent forward Tyson Fawcett back to his former team.
After scoring a hat trick in the first game of the season, Fawcett has one goal and an assist over his next eight games. The Komets also activated forward Gabriel Desjardins off injured reserve.
The moves leave the Komets with 11 forwards heading into a three-game weekend. This deal might seem a bit odd, but it would make tons of sense if they were to get another player or even two from their affiliation with Tucson. The Komets have always been expecting five players from the affiliation, and so far they have four. Nothing has been announced yet.
The Roadrunners currently have 17 forwards on the roster. Keep your eyes open.
