Tailing the Komets: Going to Friday’s game? Get there early

Be sure to leave some extra time to get into the building. The annual “Rumble in Fort Wayne” racing series is going to be taking place at the Expo Hall and that usually draws a significant crowd, especially with Tony Stewart in attendance. The main events start at 7 p.m. but in the past there’s been plenty of congestion in the parking lot and coliseum lobby. In fact, a couple of years ago, the start of the game was delayed so more fans could get into the arena. Since then, the time for the races has been moved up, but better be safe than sorry on your arrival time.

Low temperatures could also complicate things. That said, it should be an entertaining game with Garrett Meurs, Dan Milan and the Wheeling Nailers who are having an excellent season, holding second place in the North Division.
