Two targeted forwards, Jerome Hunter of Pickerington, Ohio, and Damezi Anderson of South Bend, have become the second and third class of 2018 recruits to commit to new Indiana University men's basketball coach Archie Miller.
Hunter announced his decision Monday afternoon on Twitter.
“I truly appreciate all the schools that have recruited me, the relationships with coaching staffs and everyone who have supported me to this point,” Hunter said. “After long consideration and talks with my family I've decided to commit to Indiana University.”
Scout.com reported that South Bend Riley forward Anderson said he has also committed to join the Hoosiers. Anderson later confirmed it to the South Bend Tribune.
Hunter and Anderson join Race Thompson, who committed Sunday, as part of Miller's first recruiting class. Thompson has said he plans to reclassify as a 2017 grad and enroll at IU this fall.
Hunter averaged 19.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game last season as a junior.
He is ranked as No. 60 in the class by recruiting website 247Sports.
Anderson, a 6-6 forward, averaged 24 points and 7.6 rebounds per game last season. He is ranked No. 91 by 247Sports.
