Saturday, September 09, 2017 09:46 am

CHURUBUSCO - Churubusco utilized a bend-but-don't-break defense and a power running attack to beat Eastside 28-9 in a Northeast Corner Conference football battle Friday at Churubusco.

The victory keeps the Eagles (4-0 overall, 4-0 NECC) atop the Small Division, while the Blazers (2-2, 2-2) lose pace for the title. It was the first victory by the Eagles over Eastside in four seasons.

News-Sentinel sports editor Tom Davis was on hand for the game and captured the action.
