Fort Wayne’s All-Time Greatest Series: Jabar Robinson, linebacker News-Sentinel names area’s all-time college football team
Though he never got to play for a winning team or in a bowl game, Robinson earned plenty of individual acclaim at Indiana. The Snider graduate finished with 339 career tackles, good for fifth on the Hoosiers’ all-time list in 1998. He had 101 tackles as a junior and 117 as a senior when he was a Butkus Award finalist and was named IU’s most valuable player. He always had his best games against the best teams, getting 16 tackles against Michigan and 14 against Ohio State. He played in 44 games and started 42 during his career.
