Dwenger boys come back to knock off South Side Bellmont girls take Northeast 8 title.

<center> SUMMIT ATHLETIC CONFERENCE </center><br>

Bishop Dwenger 66, South Side 65: Campbell Donovan and Nick Passino scored 17 points apiece and Conlan Martin 16 points to lead the Saints, who came back from 16 points down in the first half. South was led by Trejean Didier with 31 points and Mikale Stevenson with 14 points, six assists and four steals. Dwenger improved to 7-6 (2-4 SAC) while South dropped to 4-8 (2-4 SAC).

Snider 72, Carroll 54: Michael Barnfield scored 19 points and Malik Williams and Keondre Brown added 13 apiece as the Panthers won big in a showdown with Carroll. Williams also added eight rebounds. Deangelo Stroud led the Panthers with five assists. Snider improved to 9-5 and remained alone atop the SAC with a 6-0 conference record. Carroll (8-5, 4-2) was led by Anthony Martin with 18 points and Dan McKeeman with 10 points.

North Side 94, Concordia Lutheran 59: The Legends put five players in double figures in the rout. Keion Brooks led the way with 24 points. Jaylen Butz scored 18 points, Juan Quarles 17 points, Brandon Johnson 13 points and Davontae Kinnie 12 points. Butz led North with 16 rebounds while Kinnie posted 12 assists and Quarles eight assists. North improved to 17-1 (5-1 SAC). Andrew Marinko led Concordia with 10 points. The Cadets dropped to 1-11 (0-6 SAC).

Homestead 63, Northrop 52: Jack Ferguson scored 20 points with six rebounds and Brandon Durnell scored 15 points with seven rebounds as the Spartans took the road win. Homestead improves to 12-3 (4-2 SAC). Northrop, led by Richard Robertson’s 21 points, dropped to 8-7 (1-5 SAC).

Bishop Luers 66, Wayne 58: J.J. Foster scored 15 points, Jason Davis 14 points and Anton Berry 12 points to lead the Knights. Ray Walker led Luers (10-5, 5-1 SAC) with four assists.

Wayne was led by Craig Young with 28 points, 14 rebounds and four assists, and Kyon Jarreau with 14 points, six rebounds and three assists. The Generals dropped to 6-9 (1-5 SAC). <br>


Jay County 49, Bluffton 41: Jay Houck scored 21 points and Jason Schlosser added 15 to lead the Patriots to their 10th win of the season. Jay County improved to 10-5 (3-2 ACAC). Bluffton (4-10, 1-4 ACAC) was led by Zach Cummins with 12 points and Rylie Johnston with 10 points.

Heritage 42, Adams Central 26: LaMar Hudson scored 13 points and Malcolm Smith 10 to lead the Patriots to the ACAC win. Heritage improved to 8-15 (2-5 ACAC). Adams Central slipped to 2-21 (0-7 ACAC). <br>

<center> NORTHEAST CORNER CONFERENCE </center><br>

Central Noble 63, Churubusco 57: Dakota Barkley scored 25 points with eight rebounds and Jalen Paul scored 18 points, but it wasn’t enough for Churubusco, which dropped to 8-6 (4-2 NECC). Central Noble improved to 8-10 (3-4 NECC). <br>

<center> GIRLS</center>

<center> SUMMIT ATHLETIC CONFERENCE </center><br>

Snider 74, Carroll 66: Allana Hurst scored 21, Daysianae Hinton 19 and Kyla Covington 16 to lead the Panthers to the SAC win.

Covington topped 1,000 points in her career. The Panthers trailed by seven points at halftime, but outscored the Chargers 43-28 in the second half. Snider improved to 13-6 (5-4 SAC). Carroll (16-6, 6-3 SAC) was led by Kelli Damman with 16 points and Leah Plummer with 12 points.

Homestead 81, Northrop 43: The Spartans finished unbeaten in SAC play with the big win. Karissa McLaughlin scored 27 points and Madisen Parker 25 points to lead the way. Jazmyne Geist pulled down 10 rebounds. The Spartans are 21-1 (9-0 SAC) and open sectional play at home against Jay County on Tuesday. Northrop, led by Niomi Dube with 15 points, Arielle Thatcher with 12 points and Alicie Tiney-Williams with nine rebounds, is 14-7 (6-3 SAC) and hosts North Side to open sectional play on Tuesday.

South Side 45, Bishop Dwenger 40: South Side improved to 13-8 (6-3), and will play the winner of Homestead vs. Jay County in the sectional semifinals next Friday. Dwenger (12-7, 3-6 SAC) was led by Jayda Smith with 13 points and Josie Kolkman with 12 points. Ellen Ross pulled down 13 rebounds and had four assists. The Saints play Garrett in a Class 3A sectional opener next Wednesday at Concordia. <br>

<center> NORTHEAST EIGHT CONFERENCE </center><br>

Bellmont 41, Leo 34: Bellmont clinched the NE8 title with the win. Bellmont improved to 18-4 (6-1 NE8). Grace Hunter scored 16 points to lead Bellmont and Kenzie McMahon added 12 points.

East Noble 52, Norwell 41: East Noble’s win knocked Norwell out of a chance for a share of the NE8 title. East Noble (14-10, 4-3 NE8) was led by Lanie Allen with 19 points (hitting 13-of-13 free throws) and Corie Jones with 15 points. Norwell (13-9, 5-2 NE8) was led by Logan Rowles with 11 points and Breann Barger with 10. <br>

<center> AREA </center><br>

Whitko 57, Wabash 38: Whitko set a school record for girls basketball wins (18) with the home triumph. Aly Reiff scored 18 points and Kennedy Krull added 12 points.
