Bishop Dwenger survives scare to advance in girls sectional
Leo also advanced in Class 3A while Eastside and
Woodlan won 2A games.

<center>GIRLS IHSAA SECTIONALS</center>

<center>CLASS 3A at Concordia</center><br>

Bishop Dwenger 46, Garrett 41: The Railroaders opened each half establishing an advantage, but the Saints closed out the game strong to advance to Friday’s sectional semi-final. Dwenger’s leading scorer Ellen Ross was held to just eight points and six rebounds, but the Saints got their offense in a variety of other places, led by Caitlyn Ryan’s 18 points<br>on six three-point makes. Bishop Dwenger also got 14 points and five assists from Jayda Smith. Megan Newby scored 19 points and Drue Bodey had 13 for Garrett. The Saints will advance to Friday to play Leo.<br>

Leo 54, New Haven 34: Sophia Pierce scored 19 points and was one of seven different Leo scorers as they secured a rematch with Bishop Dwenger in Friday’s sectional semi-final. Brooke Smith scored 14 and Hannah Adams added 10 for the Lions. New Haven was led by 11 from Alexis Newson. The Lions will face Bishop Dwenger on Friday<br>night.<br>

<center>CLASS 2A at Churubusco</center><br>

Eastside 47, Bluffton 45: Gabrielle Streveler led Bluffton with 14 points and Zoey Pearson added 13, but Bluffton was never able to recover from being outscored 12-0 in the opening quarter. Bluffton finishes the season at 11-12 and Eastside advances to play Woodlan on Friday night.<br>

Woodlan 48, Adams Central 21: The Warriors improved their record to 12-11.<br>
