Homestead girls win IHSAA Class 4A state championship with 61-54 win over Pike

Homestead held the lead for nearly 27 of the game’s 32 minutes and defeated Pike, 61-54, on Saturday to win the IHSAA Class 4A girls basketball state championship at Banker’s Life Fieldhouse. Spartan senior Karissa McLaughlin scored 29 points, while fellow senior Madisen Parker scored 17 and was named the Patricia L. Roy Mental Attitude Award winner. <br>
