There’s another option to get in shape in Fort Wayne.

Orangetheory Fitness opened today in Orchard Crossing at 1034 S Thomas Road, located next to the Target on the city’s Southwest side. With 14 studios now open in the state and several in development, the brand plans to continue to target the Indiana area for expansion.

Owned and operated by Cindy and Mike Barnett, the new studio celebrated its grand opening with a VIP Party on Thursday and officially open to the public on today.

“We are excited to bring Orangetheory Fitness to the Fort Wayne community and help members live healthier, more vibrant lives,” said Cindy Barnett, Orangetheory Fitness Fort Wayne owner. “We can’t wait for Fort Wayne area residents to become part the Orangetheory family and start seeing results from the science-backed, high-energy workout, regardless of fitness level.”

Cindy was a meeting and event planner for Bank of America and Eli Lilly with a degree in Corporate Communications from Western Kentucky Univeristy. Mike is an IT healthcare executive for a medical device firm and former accountant, with a degree in Accounting from Indiana University and MBA from The Univeristy of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Orangetheory Fitness launched its first studio in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. in March 2010 and currently has more than 1,000 studios in 49 states and 18 countries. The 60-minute, five zone heart-rate-monitored interval training concept combines science, coaching, and technology.
