Winners named in Dupree Memorial Church’s Fort Wayne High School Math Contest

Five students received monetary prizes in the fourth annual High School Math Contest held by Dupree Memorial Church, 1231 Hayden St. in Fort Wayne.

Students in the competition had to complete packets of math problems they may encounter in high school math classes, an event news release said. Winners were selected based on the number of correct answers completed by each student.

* 1st prize and $300: Sarah Norwalt, South Side High School

* 2nd prize and $200: Jennifer Hegefeld, Concordia Lutheran High School

* 3rd prize and $100: Camaria King, Snider High School

* 4th prize and $50: Keyona Kelly-Smith, Snider High School.S.

* 5th prize and $50: Shanajha O’Neal, Blackhawk Christian School

* Students Ayana Kelly-Smith and Alex Trujillo received Certificates of Participation.
