1954 - E.N. Wedertz, of Tillman Road, closed out a 41-year career with the Pennsylvania Railroad on April 30, 1954 when he piloted the General Trailblazer from Chicago to Fort Wayne. Greeting him when he stepped down from the engine for the last time were, from left, his son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. R.F. Wedertz of 4324 South Park Ave., and E.N. Wedertz's wife. Wedertz started with the railroad in 1913, and his son was also an engineer, starting in 1936.
