1994 - Phillip Appleman spoke in Kendallville's library Sunday about his poetry. Appleman returned to his native city for his 50th high school class reunion from New York.

2000 - Audience members who had been opposed to the Snider Stadium site applauded happily after it was announced the group proposing the project would be looking for a new location for the Stadium and withdrew their petition to the Board of Zoning Appeals Monday evening.
2005 - Jack Curtis, 2005 Meet Director for the City Diving Championships, presents his daughter, Jamie, with her medal for coming in first place in the 13&14-year old girls division.
2007 - The new brick crosswalks at the intersection of East State Blvd. and Crescent Avenue are part of a larger improvement for the area.
2007 - Sherry Early-Aden, of the Housing and Neighborhood Services for the City of Fort Wayne, talks with Jim Jackson, a retired GTE employee during the Construction Opportunity Fair at Indiana Tech, Tuesday morning.
2007 - Dave McLaughlin looks over the agenda at the beginning of the Fort Wayne City Council Meeting Tuesday evening. He is against the nonsmoking ordinance and knew the smokers who were their to voice their feelings would have to wait to the end of agenda to comment.
2008 - Ross Oberholtzer, left, and Jeff Basgall of Smith Erectors prep the radius area for the concrete tiered seating area behind home plate on Thursday for at the new baseball stadium downtown that is part of the $125 million Harrison Square project. Concrete risers have been poured along the first and third base lines and are taking shape in the upper deck suite area as the ball park marches toward completion. Barry Real Estate Companies project developer Jim Irwin said crews will begin the final excavation of the diamond starting next week to prepare the field for installation of the sod in mid-September.
2009 - Maplewood Elementary School Principal Frank Kline says that the playground is one of the areas where students are likely to have behavior problems.

2014 - Mayor Tom Henry addresses graduates of the 2014 Starbase Camp, speaking to them at closing ceremonies at Parkview Field.
2015 - Members of the 2015 Cops Cycling for Survivors have some homemade cookies during a ride break Tuesday. Sitting on the back of the truck is Capt. Monica Zahasky of the Bloomington Police Department. She is the ride leader. She rides at the head of the line day after day into the wind, setting the pace and making sure the group stays together.
2017 - The Bad Apple Dancers perform before the seventh inning of Sunday’s TinCaps home game. Fort Wayne fell to Kane County 9-2.
