2003 - Buyers buy clothes while workers stock them this Wednesday at Plato's Closet at the Shoppes at Coldwater. Plato's Closet is one of the many places in Fort Wayne where students will shop for back to school.

2006 - A house in the 5500 block of Wapiti Drive burst into flames for the second time in 24 hours early Sunday morning. Fort Wayne firefighters battled a blaze at the location in the afternoon hours on Saturday and were called back to the location around 4:20 a.m. after the fire had rekindled. Several engines from Fort Wayne and Aboite responded to the fire that destroyed the house.
2007 - A Greyhound bus bound for Detroit became stranded at the intersection of Jefferson Boulevard and College Street after smoke was seen escaping from the bus's rear wheel area. Passengers waited on a resident's lawn for a replacement bus sent from Indianapolis.
2011 - Balloon artist Kevin Harris, right, crafts a balloon animal Saturday while a crowd of youngsters look on during the Harambee Festival at Weisser Park. Hundreds of southeast-side residents came to the 18th annual Harambee Festival, which is based on a Kiswahili word meaning "to pull together," on Saturday. The event offered music, food and family-friendly activities.
