Shindigz, one of the country’s largest party supply companies, is now open for business in downtown Fort Wayne.

Mayor Tom Henry and Shindigz leaders opened the company’s new headquarters in the historic building on the southeast corner of Wayne and Harrison. The building, now called called Shindigz Place, is home to more than 50 employees. The company expects to add dozens more skilled professionals to its headquarters team as a result of its relocation to downtown Fort Wayne.

“We are thrilled to officially open Shindigz Place and to start calling downtown Fort Wayne home,” Dan Haight, CEO of Shindigz, said in a statement. “We consider ourselves a 93-year-old design and technology startup, meaning it’s vitally important we’re providing current and prospective employees a rewarding career in a work environment that’s modern, fun and engaging. Shindigz Place helps strengthen our position as a career destination.”

Shindigz presented donations of $1,926 each — symbolizing the year the company was founded — to five organizations focused on the city’s urban core:

• Riverfront Fort Wayne

• Fort Wayne’s Downtown Improvement District

• Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne

• Vincent Village, Inc.

• Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne Indiana

“We believe in the momentum taking place downtown, and we’re thrilled about continuing to call northeast Indiana home,” stated Shep Moyle, chairman and co-owner of Shindigz. “Opening Shindigz Place is the beginning of a new chapter of our story and the story of Fort Wayne as well.”

Founded in 1926, Shindigz offers more than 23,000 unique items for sale and ships to the entire United States and more than 50 foreign countries. Shindigz employs approximately 250 people and maintains more than 200,000 square feet of manufacturing and fulfillment space in South Whitley. For more information, visit shindigz.com.
