State schedules road work in Fort Wayne starting Monday

The Indiana Department of Transportation alerts motorists that there will be temporary lane restrictions planned for I-69 in Allen County on or after Monday, Sept. 9, weather permitting. Road sensor repair will be underway between mile marker 310 and mile marker 312 between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Work will take place in the southbound lanes overnight Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 10. All work is anticipated to be completed by 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, weather permitting.

In addition, repair is scheduled for U.S. 27 and Indiana 930 in Fort Wayne, also beginning Monday. Drivers can expect to see lane restrictions on U.S. 27 in both directions between Edgewood Avenue and I-69 during daytime hours and Indiana 930 in both directions between just west of Clinton Street to just east of Hobson Road. That work may take place during daytime or overnight and will improve the driving surface for motorists.

The $923,000 contract was awarded to Brooks Construction and is expected to continue through late October, weather permitting.
