Shooting leaves man with ‘life-threatening injuries’
A shooting around 8 a.m. Wednesday left a man with life-threatening injuries, according to Fort Wayne Police.
Officers responded to reports of gun shots in the 2700 block of Euclid Avenue and found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the front yard of a residence. Officers performed CPR on the victim until paramedics took over care and transported him to a local hospital.
Initial information indicates the victim got into some sort of altercation with another man to whom he is related (exact relationship to be determined). During the altercation, gunshots were fired, and the victim was struck. The adult male in question remained on scene and has been interviewed by police. He is being considered a person of interest only at this time.
A handgun was also located on scene, and the incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
