Fraternal Order of Police PAC endorses Tim Smith for mayor, other candidates

The political action committee of the union representing sergeants and lieutenants in the Fort Wayne Police Department has released its endorsements for the Nov. 5 election, including Republican Tim Smith for mayor.

The Fraternal Order of Police Labor Council Political Action Committee (PAC) also has announced support for:

City Clerk: Lana Keesling, Republican incumbent

City Council at large: incumbent Republicans Michael Barranda and Thomas Freistoffer and Democrat Michelle Chambers

District 1: Republican incumbent Paul Ensley

District 2: Republican incumbent Russ Jehl (unopposed)

District 3: Republican incumbent Thomas Didier

District 4: Republican incumbent Jason Arp

District 5: Democratic incumbent Geoff Paddock

The PAC did not make an endorsement in the 6th District, where Democrat and current Allen County Council member Sharon Tucker is unopposed.

The PAC of the union representing Fort Wayne firefighters also endorsed Smith, who is challenging three-term Democrat Tom Henry.
