Foellinger Foundation president and CEO to step down
Cheryl K. Taylor, Foellinger Foundation president and CEO, will step down from her position on May 31, 2020. Taylor has served the foundation since 1990 and as president and CEO since 2001.
Created in 1958, the foundation supports nonprofit organizations in Allen County that serve children and their families, particularly those with the greatest need and least economic opportunity. In 2016, to further strengthen and inspire nonprofit leadership in our community, the foundation introduced the Helene Foellinger Leadership Development Initiative. “Of all the investments we’ve made, this investment in the development of individual leaders is, for me, the Foundation’s most important,” Taylor said in statement.
“Cheryl has led the Foundation in a dynamic and adaptive manner, providing unparalleled executive leadership and guidance in our pursuit of philanthropic excellence. She has served as an exceptional steward of our founders’ values and vision,” stated Michael C. Moellering, Foundation Board chair.
The foundation was created by Helene Foellinger, The News-Sentinel publisher from 1936 to 1980, and Esther Foellinger, her mother. Visit www.foellinger.org for more information.
