FWCS students to serve public Thanksgiving meal Tuesday
The FWCS Career Academy Culinary Arts program will celebrate Thanksgiving by offering a free meal from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at the Bill C. Anthis Center, 1200 S. Barr St.
The event is open to everyone. Students will prepare and serve turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread and apple crisp.
Earlier in the day, students will serve their peers at 11:15 a.m. for students attending morning classes and 1:30 p.m. for students attending afternoon classes.
Instructor Ann Applegate said the idea for the dinner was generated by students who want to serve the community.
