Dollar General, Chase Bank robbed Tuesday morning
Fort Wayne Police are investigating two robberies that occurred Tuesday morning.
At 8:07 a.m., police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Dollar General store at 5307 Decatur Road. Initial information indicated a male black, wearing all black clothing and armed with a handgun, had threatened the employees and left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.
When officers arrived on scene the suspect had already fled the store. The suspect is a male black, approximately 5’10” and between the age of 30-40, carrying a beige bag. It is believed he left in a grey in color older model vehicle.
At 8:29 a.m., police responded to a report of an armed robbery at Chase Bank, 2601 Lower Huntington Road. Initial information indicated a man wearing black clothing with a handgun entered the bank, made threats, and then left with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.
The suspect is described as a white male with facial hear wearing dark colored coat, dark hooded sweatshirt with a print in the front of the chest area and wearing a light two-colored baseball hat with an Under Amor logo centered in the front.
