Local 911 celebrates National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week

The Fort Wayne / Allen County 911 Center is celebrating National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week April 12-18) This week celebrated every year and honors the thousands of men and women who answer and dispatch emergency 911 calls and render life-saving assistance.
Consolidated Communications Partnership Executive Director David Bubb said in a statement that “As our nation grapples with the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, (it) rightfully lauds the many public safety and medical/healthcare personnel on the front-lines in this epic battle. I ask everyone to please keep 911 dispatchers in your thoughts and prayers as each day they answer more than 500 emergency calls in Fort Wayne and Allen County.”
The CCP is the 911 center operated by Fort Wayne and Allen County.
