Man charged with murder in connection to house fire

A 31-year-old Fort Wayne man faces a murder charge in collection with an April 10 fire at a house in which three people were found dead.

Fort Wayne Police picked up two persons of interest Tuesday around 8 p.m. after receiving information that led them to J. Trinidad Ramirez and another person who has not been identified. After interviews with several people, detectives arrested Ramirez for murder.

Three people were found dead in the house fire in the 1800 block of Rosemont Drive and at least one of the deaths was a homicide, according to the Allen County Coroner’s office. Identified within the residence was Marcos Ildefonso Casares, 37, who is listed has homeless. His cause of death was determined to be multiple gunshot wound(s), making him the 11th homicide in Allen County for 2020.

Also identified were Doak Stanley McBride, 51, and Kyle Gregory Call, 32, both of Fort Wayne. The cause of their deaths has not been released.
