Mad Ants make a trade

The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, presented by Lutheran Health Network, the NBA G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, announced today they have acquired the returning player rights to forward Jamil Wilson and a 2018 NBA G League Draft 2nd round pick from the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario in exchange for the returning player rights to forward Ben Bentil and a 2018 NBA G League Draft 1st round pick.
Wilson began the 2017-18 season on a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Clippers and averaged 7.0 points and 2.1 rebounds in 18.3 minutes with the NBA club. The 6-foot-7 forward appeared in 15 games, while starting 10 games for Los Angeles.
The Marquette University product played in five games with Agua Caliente this season as well. Wilson averaged 12.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists with the Clippers. He netted a season-high 31 points and eight rebounds on Nov. 11 at Santa Cruz.
In 2015-16, Wilson played 48 games for the Texas Legends and averaged 15.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 33.2 minutes per game.
Wilson’s journey throughout the NBA G League began in the 2014-15 season, He appeared in 41 games for the Bakersfield Jam and averaged 10.9 points, 5.4 rebounds as well as 2.0 assists. Wilson averaged 11.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists in three postseason games with Bakersfield.
After transferring from the University of Oregon, the Racine, Wis. native played three seasons at Marquette. From 2011-14, Wilson started 53 games for the Golden Eagles and averaged 9.4 points per contest.
In his lone season at Oregon, Wilson Started 14 of the 26 games he appeared in for the Ducks and averaged 4.7 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.
