Former North Side football coach Ryan Hall was named head coach of Fountain Central late last week.
Hall compiled a 35-30 record at North over six seasons, highlighted by an SAC championship in 2013. The program went 9-3 that season, part of a three-year stretch of winning seasons for North.
Hall stepped down from coaching North following a 4-6 campaign in 2015, but stayed at the school as a teacher. Since then, the program has gone a combined 1-19 under two head coaches.
Fountain Central is one of the top 1A football programs in the central part of the state. Located just west of Indianapolis in Veedersburg, the Mustangs have compiled nine straight winning seasons. Last year under the leadership of Raymond Jones, Fountain Central won its second sectional title in as many years and finished 11-2. Jones was named coach at Clinton Prairie in February.
