Wings goaltending ace Joel Martin will become an assistant coach for Nick Bootland. Martin has always been a class act and it seemed he always played his best against the Komets. I always enjoyed talking to him, and I’m glad those opportunities will continue. Plus, the Wings will always have a handy emergency back-up goalie available.
